Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 29, 2026

Chabert Insurance of St George ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you visit our website, request an insurance quote, or do business with us as a property and casualty insurance agency licensed in the State of Louisiana.

1. Information We Collect

When you request a quote, contact us, or otherwise interact with our website, we may collect:

  • Contact information, such as your name, mailing address, phone number, and email address
  • Information needed to prepare an insurance quote, such as date of birth, driver's license number, vehicle information, and property information
  • Information you provide when corresponding with us by phone, email, text message, or through our website forms
  • Contact information we receive from third-party internet lead sources when you request a quote through a partner site, which we may use to reach out to you by phone, text, or email
  • Policy and billing information if you become a customer
2. How We Use Your Information
  • To prepare, provide, and explain insurance quotes
  • To submit applications to insurance carriers and underwriters on your behalf
  • To bind, service, and renew your policy, and to process payments and claims
  • To communicate with you about your account, quotes, renewals, and policy changes
  • To send you marketing communications by email or text message, where you have not opted out, about new products, discounts, or renewal reminders
  • To comply with legal, regulatory, and licensing obligations as a Louisiana-licensed insurance producer
3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

  • The insurance carriers and underwriters to whom you submit an application or quote request
  • Service providers who support our agency operations (for example, agency management software or payment processors), under confidentiality obligations
  • Regulators, law enforcement, or others as required by law
4. Text Message and Email Marketing

If you provide your phone number or email address, you may receive text messages and emails from us related to quotes, policy servicing, renewal reminders, and promotional offers. This includes situations where we receive your phone number as an internet lead, such as through a third-party quote request or lead-generation source, and use it to text or call you about insurance products. We will only contact you in this way where we have a lawful basis to do so, such as your prior consent provided to the lead source or to us directly. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and out of marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link included in those messages. Opting out of marketing communications will not affect service-related communications we are required to send regarding your policy.

5. Your Choices and Rights

You may contact us at any time to ask what personal information we hold about you, to request a correction, or to request that we delete information we are not otherwise required to retain by law or regulation. Louisiana residents will have additional privacy rights under the Louisiana Data Privacy Act once it takes effect on January 1, 2027, and we will honor applicable requests consistent with that law.

6. Notice Required Under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act

As a licensed insurance producer, we are subject to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and the Louisiana Department of Insurance's privacy regulations governing nonpublic personal financial information. This Privacy Policy, together with any notice provided to you at the time you become a customer, is intended to satisfy our obligation to disclose our privacy practices regarding your nonpublic personal information.
